Pet Of The Month

Telling the story about our new found cat Sunday is really quite easy.  On a hot Sunday morning, I headed out for a trail ride on my young horse Tiger.  As we picked our way through a narrow path between dense blackberries, I felt Tiger slow down and become very interested in something.  He wasn’t afraid, just curious.

It turned out to be a cat.  A very small skinny cat that was meowing piteously and dragging herself down the trail on her front legs.  I bundled her up and took her to Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic.

The initial evaluation was scary; a badly broken right rear leg and a torn diaphragm.  However, the good vets at Loomis Basin did the trick.  Sunday did lose her damaged rear leg, but you would never know it to see her move today.  I think the fourth leg would just get in her way.
