“Your biggest asset is your staff, who are always eager to assist the doctor and are friendly and very professional. We are very pleased with our ‘new’ clinic.” Jim Graham, Sacramento
Board-Certified Veterinary Specialists
We are pleased to have a number of talented and dedicated board-certified specialists either on staff at Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic or available to you as independent contractors who work at Loomis Basin. Board-certified specialists are veterinarians who have chosen to pursue further education and specialize in a particular field of veterinary medicine to enhance your pet’s health care.
To become board certified, veterinarians must complete a 3- or 4-year residency program, accomplish specific training and caseload requirements, and complete research and have the research published. This process is supervised, ensuring consistency in training and adherence to high standards. Upon completing a residency, rigorous examinations must be passed. Only after all these components are completed does a veterinarian earn a Diplomate designation that indicates he or she is a specialist in his or her chosen field.
